Life at Shiloh
At Shiloh, we are seeking to cultivate a church "home" where you are welcomed in, cared for, raised up and sent out!
Together we follow Jesus when we welcome (invite and include), care (support and serve), grow (learn and teach) and go (love neighbor and world)!
You can see Shiloh Church on the hill every time you zip down Highway T, but visiting a church for the first time can be a little scary. People tend to worry about what to do, what to say, what to wear, and “will they make me stand up and introduce myself?”
You can RELAX! We don’t pressure and judge, we invite and encourage. You will find down-to-earth people at Shiloh, just regular people like you. None of us are perfect. We mess up - sometimes big time - regardless of our best intentions. We don’t know everything, we don’t have all the answers, and we don’t pretend that we do. We call the people at Shiloh ‘our church family’ because we are all in it together.

We are blessed to have Rev. Amanda Gastreich at Shiloh!
A bit about her: Pastor Amanda served at Eldon United Methodist for four years before coming to Shiloh. She is originally from the St. Louis area (before you ask—she went to Parkway Central High School!). She loves kayaking and paddle-boarding, practicing yoga, board gaming, and visiting new and different places. She shares her home with a very particular senior dog named Leslie and an energetic kitten named Elphie. More importantly, she believes deeply in a church that reflects the love of Christ in real and tangible ways. She's excited for the stories that will be shared, the questions that will be explored, the grace that will be encountered, and the ways the community will be served together. Amanda is dedicated to the messages of scripture and the United Methodist mission of making disciples for the transformation of the world. She is a passionate advocate for social justice and ensuring that all God’s children are able to fully live as the people God created them to be. Amanda has a Masters of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary, a Masters of Public Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and a Bachelors from the University of Evansville. |
